 As a Dietitian...

I provide affirming care for all bodies.

For one, I recognize that social inequalities influence how we relate to food. So I use an anti-oppressive framework in my work to support people of all sizes, races, ethnicities, gender identities, sexual orientations, immigration statuses, and abilities.

My personal and professional experience has taught me that...

  • Struggles with Intuitive Eating are deeply connected to body shame and societal oppression.

  • Food doesn’t need to be complicated. It can be simple, effortless, and deepen the connection to your culture & identity.

  • Dieting and feeling at war with your body do not lead to positive health outcomes.

  • Each one of us has an innate sense of wisdom about our body’s needs.

That’s why my work is informed by Health at Every Size®, Intuitive Eating, and Mindful Eating philosophies. And although these frameworks influence my approach, I try to make each person’s journey their own.

I recognize that there truly isn’t a one-size-fits-all approach to nutrition, body image, and health, and many attempts to do this ultimately excludes those who are most marginalized.

Instead, I help individuals realize that -- regardless of their identities --  white supremacy influences how they understand food, body, and health, and that a central part of healing requires unpacking these harmful messages.

Seriously, you don’t have to do this alone.

In my counseling sessions, I’ll guide you through these obstacles so you can find pleasure in eating delicious foods and develop a deeper connection to your identity and your body.

My role is to help you find the food formula that works best for you and tap into your innate body wisdom...So that you can truly honor your body.
